Founded in 2000, PromiseWorks is a pro-active initiative by a group of friends who realised the lack in emphasis and focus on youth development in Singapore.
Today, mentorship is synonymous with to PromiseWorks. Through mentorship, we aim to forge positive relationships between mentors and mentees that will result in a direct and measurable impact in the lives of the youth.
We are passionate about impacting the youth generation to become one that has promise and hope. It is our mission to create a community that wants to do life together purposefully.
The magic of PromiseWorks is the passion that each volunteer brings to the organisation. We strongly strongly believe that volunteerism is not just about giving. Instead, it is a journey of self-development and growth. Hence, we endeavour to go beyond cookie-cutter methods of enabling young working adults to make a meaningful impact to their community. With this approach, we have managed to work around the strictures of time and provide platforms for young working adults to actively grow in their personal lives.
In November 2003, judges from the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) recognised the efforts and successes of PromiseWorks and awarded us the Outstanding New Initiative Award.
